[English] 2018 POKÉMON LATIN AMERICA INTERNATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS

In April we will hold our second Latin America International Championships, which will be the third International Championship of the 2017/2018 Season.

All players who have a POP ID are qualified to participate, there being no minimum quantity of points to participate.

The TCG and VGC event will be divided in three categories: Junior, Senior and Master.

 

Below we provide the date, location and relevant information for participation.

 

Date

April 26 (All categories check-in – TCG and VG), 27, 28 and 29.

Registration

For the Junior and Senior categories, the registration amount is R$ 80.00; for the Master category, the amount is R$ 150.00.

The registration period will be from 15/02/2018 a 22/04/2018  and it shall be made exclusively online, through the website: www.copag.com.br/pokemon, and payment should be performed through the Stripe system.

Check in

On 04/26/2018 from 4pm to 9pm, TCG and VG All Category players shall check in at the event. Check-in is a procedure in which the player shows up with proof of payment, player ID, Authorization for minors under 18 years and an official Identification Card to ensure he/she will play the tournament and to receive his/her registration kit containing*:

 

TCG players:

Playmat, Pin, Deckbox, badge and lanyard;

 

VGC players:

Cap, Pin,Deckbox, badge and lanyard;

*Limited registration kit: given out on a first-come, first-served basis at check-in.

 

Format

 

TCG

The event will be disputed in three different age groups – Junior, Senior and Master – in the Swiss Format, with later cut for TOP, according to Pokémon Organized Play guidelines. The number of Swiss rounds and players to dispute the TOP is determined by the table below:

 

 

Players with a minimum score of X-2-0 or the 32 best ranked – whatever is greater– are qualified to dispute the Swiss Rounds on the second day.

The Swiss Rounds will be disputed in the best out of three system, with time limit of 50 minutes + 3 additional rounds.

As for the Single Elimination, it will be disputed in the best out of three system, with limit time of 75 minutes + 3 additional rounds.

VCG

The event will be disputed in three different age groups – Junior, Senior and Master – in the Swiss Format, with later cut for TOP, according to Pokémon Organized Play guidelines. The number of Swiss rounds and players to dispute the TOP is determined by the table below:

Players – under 18 years old:

  1. All players under the age of 18 must submit the “Authorization for players under 18” duly completed upon check-in;
  2. Players under the age of 14 must be accompanied by at least one grantor throughout the event;
  3. Players over 14 years old must be accompanied by at least one legal guardian or a representative (whose age is over 18) designated by them, with the document “Authorization for legal guardians – over 14 years” duly completed and must stay in the venue throughout the whole event period;

 

Players who are not with their grantor during the tournament will be removed from the tournament.

  • LATE CHECK-IN INFO:

 

If you are a TCG/VGC – JUNIOR/SENIOR/MASTER player and can not make Thursday evening check in you MUST contact this email ([email protected]) and state in the title “Late Check in Latin America International” and in the message have:

  • Pokémon Player ID (for TCG/VGC)
  • Name
  • Date of birth

 

Awarding

The awards will be given to the best players placed in the aforementioned three categories. In order to be eligible for the awards, players must have an active account on the Pokémon’s website with a linked Player ID, and have choose to participate in and receive awards from Play! Pokémon program.

The award values disclosed by Pokémon Company also apply to the tournaments held in Brazil, where they will be converted and paid in local currency (Real- BRL), with deduction of taxes, according to the Brazilian laws.

The awards will correspond to the amount in Reais equivalent to those values indicated in the table below, considering the commercial US Dollar exchange rate, on the event date

The award values are based on the total number of players per category.

More details on taxes will be communicated in the Tournament Regulation

Additionally, the top 32 TCG players in each category – regardless of the total number of players – will receive:

  • 1st to 8th place: 432 booster packs in Portuguese of Sun and Moon – Ultra Prism;
  • 9th to 16th place: 288 booster packs in Portuguese of Sun and Moon – Ultra Prism;
  • 17th to 32nd place: 144 booster packs in Portuguese of Sun and Moon – Ultra Prism;
  • 33th to 64th place:  72 booster packs in Portuguese of Sun and Moon – Ultra Prism;

Awards, award types and the way they will be distributed may be changed.

 

VGC *

 

 

The award values are based on the total number of players per category.

More details on taxes will be communicated in the Tournament Regulation

Additionally, the 16 best players of each category – regardless of the total amount of players – will receive:

  • 1st and 2nd place: 144 booster packs in Portuguese of Sun and Moon- Ultra Prism;
  • 3rd and 4th place: 144 booster packs in Portuguese of Sun and Moon- Ultra Prism;
  • 5th to 8th place: 72 booster packs in Portuguese of Sun and Moon- Ultra Prism;
  • 9th to 16th place: 36 booster packs in Portuguese of Sun and Moon- Ultra Prism;

 

Awards, award types and the way they will be distributed may be changed.

 

About the award payment:

Discriminação: A organização não deve realizar ou apoiar a discriminação na contratação, remuneração, acesso a treinamento, promoção, encerramento de contrato ou aposentadoria, com base em raça, nacionalidade, classe social, religião, deficiência, sexo, orientação sexual, responsabilidades familiares, estado civil, associação a sindicato, opinião política, idade ou qualquer outra condição que poderia dar ensejo à discriminação.

6. Práticas disciplinares: A organização deve tratar todo pessoal com dignidade e respeito. Não deve se envolver ou tolerar a utili- zação de punição corporal, mental ou coerção física e abuso verbal.

7. Horário de trabalho: A organização deve estar em conformidade com as leis aplicáveis, com os acordos de negociação coletiva (quando aplicável) e com os padrões da indústria sobre horários de trabalho, folgas e feriados públicos.

8. Remuneração e Benefícios: A organização deve respeitar o direito do pessoal a um salário de subsistência e assegurar que os salários pagos por uma semana normal de trabalho devam sempre satisfazer a pelo menos os padrões mínimos legais ou a indústria, ou ao acordo de negociação coletiva (quando aplicável). Os benefícios dos empregados devem ser fornecidos de acordo com os requi- sitos nacionais e locais.

9. Anticorrupção: A organização declara que cumpre com todas as normas e legislação anticorrupção aplicáveis à condução de seus negócios e além disso não apoia ou tolera negócios que não sejam conduzidos de maneira ética e apropriados ou que usam subornos, propinas ou forneçam presentes, favores ou serviços para obter vantagem.

10. Proteção de Informações Pessoais: A organização deve proteger a privacidade e a confidencialidade dos dados pessoais de todas as partes interessadas, tomando as precauções legalmente necessárias para proteger os dados pessoais.

11. Proteção de Propriedade Intelectual: A organização deve proteger a propriedade intelectual de clientes e fornecedores e deve seguir todas as leis de propriedade intelectual aplicáveis.

12. Impacto Ambiental: A organização deve manter um compromisso com programas e práticas ambientais sólidos visando à pre- venção da poluição, gerenciamento de recursos naturais e controle de emissões atmosféricas, incentivando a redução e a reciclagem de resíduos. A mesma deve cumprir todas as leis aplicáveis relacionadas ao meio ambiente e descartar materiais tóxicos de maneira controlada e segura. Para esse fim, a organização deve incentivar a realização de negócios com clientes e fornecedores que se dedi- cam igualmente a buscar esforços contínuos para melhorar a compatibilidade de suas operações com o meio ambiente.

13. Qualidade do Produto: A organização deve produzir produtos de qualidade e seguir requisitos rigorosos através da obtenção de matérias-primas de qualidade provenientes de fornecedores confiáveis.

14. Minerais de Conflito: A organização deve se empenhar em fornecer componentes e materiais de empresas que não usam mine- rais (Tântalo, Estanho, Tungstênio, Ouro) de áreas de conflito que direta ou indiretamente financiem ou beneficiem grupos armados na República Democrática do Congo (RDC) ou nos países vizinhos.

15. Madeira: A organização deve proibir o uso de madeira extraída ilegalmente e produtos derivados dessa madeira em todos os produtos e em suas instalações.

16. Cumprimento das Leis Aplicáveis: A organização deve estar em conformidade com quaisquer leis, regulamentos ou normas locais aplicáveis a seus negócios e os padrões do setor estabelecidos em suas localidades. Em caso de qualquer conflito entre as disposições das leis, regulamentos ou normas anteriores e as disposições deste documento, a que contém os padrões mais elevados deverá prevalecer.

17. Comunicação de Princípios: A organização deve comunicar esses princípios aos funcionários em uma forma oral e escrita apropriada e empreenderá esforços para educar os colaboradores sobre esses princípios periodicamente.
